FACECAGE

FACECAGE is an up and coming regional act based in Des Moines, Iowa. In just a short time FACECAGE has built a huge local following and is quickly gaining the respect and support of fans throughout the entire Midwest. With a powerful stage show and hit-quality songs, it is an unforgettable experience. FACECAGE has shared the stage with such acts as Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society, 13 Days, Brand New Sin, (hed)PE, Nonpoint, and the best of the local and regional acts in the area. FACECAGE’s music has begun to take hold. The song “14” was XM Radio’s Liquid Metal pick of the week for the week of Monday, September 9th. The rest of the album has been put on heavy rotation on XM radio. The single “Without You All” debuted on University of Wisconsin/Green Bay college radio at number 3. The same single can be heard on Des Moines Lazer 103.3’s Local Licks show, Minneapolis X93’s Loud and Local, and regular rotation on Madison’s WORT. Since March 2002 FACECAGE has maintained a rigorous schedule with regional shows booked almost every weekend until the end of 2002, without diluting any single market by keeping a four to eight week rotation. A big part of FACECAGE’s success is due to the level of professionalism in which they present themselves. Every member of the band and crew is dedicated and hard working. FACECAGE has been invited back to every venue played in the region because of this demonstrated professionalism.

The objective of FACECAGE is to achieve a national level of success. Borne of hard work and dedication, all the members of FACECAGE are professional and goal oriented.

MATT --- VOCALS: A charismatic front man, Matt encompasses the raw energy of the whole band. With challenging lyrics and stylistic vocal patterns, his words will burn themselves into your mind.

ERIC --- GUITARS: With over a decade of experience, playing in bands such as Alter Ego, and Stickman Eric brings a new level of guitar to FACECAGE. Blending melody with guttural rhythms, adding diverse riffs and disciplined direction, Eric is one of the bands strongest songwriters.

FRED --- BASS: Drawing inspiration from Jazz to the harshest metal, Fred brings together a whole new style of bass playing. Over ten years of live, and studio playing has brought both his creativity, and his technique to new realms.

MIKE --- PERCUSSION: From the most laid-back groove, to the most primal slam, Mike is a different kind of drummer altogether. The bond that holds the music together, Mike creates beats like a freight train. Technical and creative, his experience in the studio and on the stage compliments his talent even more. His role of the percussionist does not end there, being an important part of the writing and arranging of the bands songs.

YO-YO --- MEDIA: Rising above the role of the basic sampler, Yo-Yo provides the band with not only creative electronics and sound effects, but stage reinforcement, such as light shows and stage theatrics as well. Creative sounds and rhythms add a whole new dimension to the FACECAGE sound.
